Murray Cod aka “Goodoo” are Australia’s largest solely freshwater predator species. Known to grow in excess of 150 pounds, the beautifully marked, iconic Australian species is particularly well known for their explosive eats using large, surface flies.

Taimen, Arapaima, Catfish are all famed freshwater species and the Goodoo should most definitely be on your bucket list.

In the summer of 2015 we travelled to the saltwater flats of the top of the South Island, New Zealand where we joined some friends to chase the infamous “Ray Rider” Yellowtail Kingfish (part of the Amberjack species) in Golden Bay. A truly unique experience in one of the most beautiful places in the world.
